Hand shimmies and scarves

On Friday I went to see Bombay Bellywood (for free thanks to my co-worker!!!). It was CRAZY! The Bellydance Superstars group tours quite often but this show had an Indian Bollywood influence and some of the routines were all Indian dancing. I can't help but want to smile & jump up and dance when I watch Bollywood performances too, but the bellydancing was what was really spectacular. The most amazing routine was the scarves - one of the dancers spun around for what seemed like forever (I think maybe 5 minutes...to be realistic, but maybe longer) and used scarves, which looked beautiful. But, then the other dancers would go by and throw another scarf into the mix. It was crazy. I think at one point she must have had at least 6 or 7 scarves. The other amazing thing was the hand shimmying...the only male in the troop, Samir, did all this crazy stuff with his arms and can actually shimmy his fingers. I looked on their website and apparently he has a background in Cirque du Soleil. I was so in awe I think my mouth kept dropping open. I wish I had gone to see them before. I really need to frickin' practice ALOT, but I can do some of the moves, just not as fast and I definitely don't look that hot.
