A typical Jennifer experience

Today we had training to go to in Bellingham. Alright, so I mentally prepare to be on-time today only to try on 2 shirts with mystery stains on the front. So third shirt later it is now 7:45 which means I will be late. No big deal but when I get to work my supervisor asks me if I brought my birth certificate to cross the border, and the answer is? You guessed it, a big fat "oh crap! no!" so I drove back home got the damn thing and headed for the border, hoping to catch the others or at the very least arrive shortly after. I got to the border at 8:35. 25 minutes late they finally opened up another lane & so I made it through just after 9:00. No chance of being on time or even respectably late. But, here's where the true Jennifer experience comes into play. I turn down the road that I always go down and then after about 5 or 6 minutes of driving come to a dead end. Luckily there was an American girl driving by so she told me I had to go back & around on the new road. Fine, another 10+ minutes delay. But, then I end up driving behind a gravel truck the WHOLE way to the office and was hit at least 7 or 8 times - luckily no noticeable damage. So at about 9:40 or so I get to the office, have to park on the street of course because there's no space left in the parking lot, and enter the conference room to a full house. Fine, there's one chair by the door so I sit down and ask if I can squish in but the girls sitting on either side said it was taken (by who? invisible boy?). Fine. So, someone else gets another chair for me and I go sit with my c0-workers on the other end of the room. Luckily the training was stuff I was already pretty familiar with so I didn't really miss anything vital. And, I did still get the free pizza lunch.
