Not dead yet
I did not die from the mold, yet, and am happily relaxing at Tracey's in Oakville. Luckily they have internet for me, it's so hard to go cold turkey on vacation. Anyways, I had this DELICIOUS key lime tart which this bakery nearby makes in a chocolate pastry. SH!$ that is brilliant. I licked the paper to get all the icing off, it was just that good. I also got free lunch at Tracey's place of employment. As you all know I LOVE FREE FOOD. It was great. I also got to see a bunch of birds, some ducks I need to identify, a swan, some geese, and alot of squirrels. And, I got to see a Great Lake - Lake Ontario, Canadian side. It was beautiful. I can't wait to go to Ottawa tomorrow!!! Oh, and Tracey's making me my favourite dessert - the date square, which is actually round. Yay!

Death by mold
Today I was a cleaning machine, a machine with lots of breaks and intermittent rounds of Spider Solitaire but still a machine. Anyways, I just cleaned out the fridge and opened a Tupperware and there was a thick layer of mold over what was salsa I think. I could just be imagining it but ever since then I have had a tickly throat so I have been coughing and I think I may die from some insane mold induced reaction.
If you don't hear from me for a while it may be because I'm dead. Or, it just may be because I'm heading East for a few days. I guess we'll see.

On holiday
Today is my first official day of holidays. I'm off till March 2 and heading to Ontario next week for a few days to visit my dear friend Tracey and hubby Andy. I am looking forward to a few days of relaxation before I head out and hope to accomplish some much needed cleaning, organizing, etc. around the house. Of course, given my track record I may accomplish NOTHING but hopefully intentions count. So far though all I have done is put on the dishwasher, but it's something. I have watched 10 Years Younger, Without A Trace, All My Children, General Hospital, and other assorted daytime television shows. I've played an hour or so of Spider Solitaire and Temple Guardian. It's nice to have a day off. I had to work over 3 hours of overtime last night to get everything done, or as close to done as possible. I felt like a bag of crap but also relieved I accomplished as much as I did. I was starving when I got home so treated myself to sausages and fries - ok, no veggies BUT the sausages were chicken/apple sausages so that's a bit of fruit, if unrecognizable, and of course ketchup which is made from tomatoes. Yes, it's a stretch but I am on holiday so I can get away with that. Tonight is episode # 2 of Dollhouse so I'm excited about that. Tomorrow I will go to the Zoo and Sunday is dinner at Linda's then 2 more days of homebody bliss and I will be packing for the big trip out East. Yay!

Dollhouse
The premier of Dollhouse was yesterday. It was great, mysterious, interesting, fun. I really like the mix of characters but I think the tech guy is a total prick. Hopefully he gets more interesting. Echo's handler seems nice. And what's up with the cop? I can't wait for next week!

Peek

This is the Arctic fox. I LOVE this picture. I walked around the Zoo today and got some really good pictures. Afterward I went to the bakery and got a crap load of stuff because I was hungry. I ate 2 squishy buns in the car on the way home. They are delicious! I couldn't resist. I also had a raspberry turnover about half an hour ago. You already know about my feelings about those.

Bellydancing Drills
Sweet Jesus! I just exorcised for 2 hours - straight. Me, who only exercises twice a week, bellydancing on Tuesdays and Yoga at work on Fridays. Then a bit of manual labour on Saturdays at the Zoo. I am BRUTALLY out of shape. But, I actually survived 2 hours of bellydancing drills today. 2! First there were stretches, etc. to warm up then a song of chest drops, a song of chest lifts, a couple songs of combinations of chest drops and chest lifts. Then it gets kind of blurry, but eventually we were standing up again and up on the balls of our feet doing hip shimmies. At that point I had to stop a couple times because my shins were seizing up. There were also squats, the egyptian shimmy, chest slides, figure eights w/ the ummy (sp?), and then we did our own combo, figure eights w/ chest drops, undulation and ummy. Then some more stretches and yoga poses. My right shin is kind of twitching still and I am afraid I may not be able to get out of bed in the morning. I had a super hot shower, recommended by the teacher, so hopefully that will help. It was crazy but I actually feel great, if slightly wobbly. I would DEFINITELY do it again. But, maybe not next week...
